Work-linked training
Invest in the future
HIRE WITH CONFIDENCE
Apprenticeship gives the apprentice a combination of theoretical training at the Faculté des Métiers de L'Essonne, which is a CFA (apprentice training centre) and practical training within your company.
For a successful recruitment, follow these three steps:
-
1 - Identify the apprentice
Aged 15 to 25, apprentices from the Faculté des Métiers can be hired from CAP level up to Bac +3, in various trades including craft, industrial, and tertiary trades. -
2 - Contact the CFA
Our Company Liaison Officers are there to help you with your recruitment and to set up the contract, to simplify the adminstrative procedures for your company. -
3 - Draw up the contract
The apprenticeship contract is a fixed-term employment contract which can vary from six months to three years (four years for handicapped persons). This contract allows for a two-month trial period, and under it the apprentice is subject to the same rights and obligations as other employees of the company.
You must appoint an apprentice master, who will be the apprentice's tutor during the professional training period and must demonstrate at least three years' experience in the apprentice's chosen field.
The hiring date must be no more than three months earlier or two months later than the start of the training cycle at the CFA.
The contract shall be submitted to the Chamber of Commerce or the Chamber of Trades for registration and approval.

Professional Training Contract: the other approach to work-linked training
The professional training contract responds to a demand by the social partners, with the aim of fulfilling the exact needs of companies and favouring the professional integration of young people aged 16 to 25 and jobseekers aged 26 and over. It rounds out the person's initial training or professional experience with a qualification backed by a diploma or a vocational certificate registered in the National Register of Professional Certifications or recognised by a branch.
