History

FDM was created on the initiative of the Essonne Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Essonne Chamber of Trades and Crafts, with support from the Ile de France Regional Council and the Essonne Departmental Council. Its campus provides a single location for the three apprentice training centres:

  • Craft trades: approx. 1200 trainees
  • Tertiary sector: approx. 1200 trainees
  • Industry: approx. 800 trainees

A team of 250 instructors guides more than 3000 young people in work-linked training in more than 20 different business sectors.

The continuing education department hosts roughly 6500 adult trainees in more than 16 fields and incorporates the Number One language learning centre in France.

A career showcase

From CPA to BAC+3, more than 80 training courses are offered to apprentices.

A training course to suit the requirements of companies, reinforced by the development of multimedia tools continuously incorporating new educational resources.

The mission of FDM Essonne is to develop centres of excellence for different trades and to guide apprentices towards real employment opportunities, both in France and abroad.

The International Relations department facilitates exchanges between campuses in the context of intensive and/or extensive courses.
